I’ve taught Alaskan natives how to grow what they could in harsh climates, harvested pineapples under the Hawaiian sun, and spent three decades cultivating a network of professional plant contacts in Colorado. But landing in Florida? That changed everything. The plant life here is nothing short of incredible. Seeing massive Monsteras thriving in front yards, stunning Alocasias, and vibrant Rhododendrons—not to mention the trees completely covered in air plants and epiphytes—never ceases to amaze me.
